Individual law
A will and a mandate of protection are essential tools to protect your significant other and your family. By preparing those documents before a notary, you will benefit of advice based on your personal situation and a personalised document. Also, a notarized document is difficult to contest by other people and the original will be kept in our vault to insure its protection. Furthermore, the will and/or mandate of protection will be registered at the Chambre des notaires du Québec registry, ensuring that your loved ones will be able to find it when they do need it.
We proceed to two meetings with you, the first one being to get a picture of your situation, to discuss possible solutions and to get to know your wishes. You have nothing to prepare for this first meeting, we will guide you through the process. The second meeting will allow us to explain the prepared documents, do any necessary modifications and proceed to the signature.
You will also be able to discuss with the notary if a power of attorney is right for you, and if you want to have your anticipated medical directives written.
